My name is Lauralea. I’m a college sophomore, avid non-fiction reader, aspiring photographer and bumbling pianist.  I’m the girl who has checked out all the language CDs at the library; the girl who enjoys taking practice ACT tests online; and the girl who writes this blog.

My best friend often pokes me in the side and says “You live and breathe ministry.” It’s probably true. When I’m not doing ministry, I enjoy history, discipleship, writing, singing loudly and obnoxiously, reading non-fiction, debates and discussion, forensic science, dancing, law, baking, missions, blogging, theology, philosophy, and politics. My recent self-inflicted  self motivated interest is the study of sleep.

I’m a born again believer, and I’m not interested in what denomination I best fit into, or what Bible translation you use. What I do care about and am interested in is the Kingdom of God, and The Church as a worldwide body, it should not be divided. I don’t care if you’re in a cathedral or on the L train in Chicago, but when the people of God are together and passionately discussing God’s plan for their lives and how they can effectively disciple others… that’s awesome!

To sum up what I believe, here’s the apostle’s creed:

I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
the Maker of heaven and earth,
and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord:

Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost,
born of the virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, dead, and buried;

The third day He arose again from the dead;

He ascended into heaven,
and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty;
from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Ghost;
the holy catholic church;
the communion of saints;
the forgiveness of sins;
the resurrection of the body;
and the life everlasting.

Amen.

Anything beyond is gained through serious Bible study and the Spirit’s conviction.  What are those convictions?

Well, read my blog. :)
